TL-WPA4220 AV600 - wifi drops constantly
TL-WPA4220 AV600 - wifi drops constantly
I don't know what I should do more...
I bought a TL-WPA4220 AV600 and after long hours around this... I don't know how I can resolve this issue.
The configuration was set with success. Although the wi-fi connection has in average 5 seconds and then drops. Reconnects... drop again.. constantly in an endless loop.
But, the stranger thing is: if I connect my laptop by an ethernet cable the connection is perfect and continuous, without breaks.
What I should do?

I have the exact same problem. Started lats week from nowhere. Has been running for several years with two different routers and suddenly on extender fails. We changed that one out the other day but it´s the same behavior. We have tried different channels, different channel width but nothing seems to help so far. Have red the manual, vied the online films but no real clue.
Any tip will be appreciated.

Hi,
Before we forward your case to the senior engineers, could you please help me check the following information:
1. Have you tried to change the wireless channel and channel width on the 2.4ghz, like channel 11, channel width 20mhz?
2. Did all the mobile devices have the same issue on the 4220?
3. when the Wi-Fi connection dropped out, it would recover very quickly, then drop again right?
4.What is the model number of the home router and did you use the same SSID/ network name as the home router?
Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

Hi, As for your case, did you also have 4220kit V5?
Would the Ethernet connection is solid enough and just the wireless connection is unstable?
Did you mean that you had replaced the adapters already and the new kit still had the same issue?
How about the dropping frequency on your 4220?
Did you use the same SSID as the Arris router?
By the way, when you said’ When I turn the router off the Wi-Fi connection to the TL-WPA4220 starts to work again’, did you mean rebooting the main router could recover the connection temporarily?
Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

thank you for your answer. Regarding your questions:
1. Have you tried to change the wireless channel and channel width on the 2.4ghz, like channel 11, channel width 20mhz?
Yes, I already tried. I tried channel 6 and 20mhz
2. Did all the mobile devices have the same issue on the 4220?
Yes
3. when the Wi-Fi connection dropped out, it would recover very quickly, then drop again right?
Yes
4.What is the model number of the home router and did you use the same SSID/ network name as the home router?
Router model: Hitron CVE30360 Board
Regarding network, I tried the system with the WPS connection, with the same network name and now I did a reset and I'm trying without the pairing with the same network name. I have my home network called "JL" and the WiFi connection from the AV600 device is "Garage". In both situations, the problem is the same...

I found a solution. I returned the equipment and I buy the Devolo Magic 1 mini.
At least was quicker than you help.

@TP-Link I am experiencing the same problem. Latency will spike to 2000+ ms, then a couple of 'not responding' and after that the connection is restored. Happens often, multiple times in an hour. have not seen a solution posted by TP anywhere, is there a solution? Would appreciate a response.
Best regards,
Hoeked
