Archer C80 losing connection
Hi,
I recently bought Archer c80. It has weird problem, it loses internet conectivity. My ISP put modem to bridge mode, i use Archer as router and wifi network. My internet conectivity drops many Times a day, without rules what triggers it. When I remotely restart router, it works ok, for hour, 2 or maybe even 8 hours. It bothers me, as i need stable connection because my work from home requires it - licensing servers.
I tried on 2,4ghz, 5ghz wifi. Wifi works ok, it actually loses connection to internet. ISP modem doesnt lose connection - i tried it.
I also updated firmware. I have static IP, and when router works, it is really fast. So settings shouldnt be a problem, i guess.
Thank you for help.

Hi, thank you very much for reporting the issue to the community.
Do you mean the internet connection on the C80 drops, how about the internet LED on it, does it become orange when the internet drops? May I know who is your ISP?
When the internet drops on the C80, can you confirm if there is still a WAN IP address on it? If there is one, try to change the WAN DNS server to Google's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, then confirm again.
If there is no WAN IP address on it, please ensure the cable between the C80 WAN and the ISP modem is good, you can try with another new cat 5e or cat 6 cable.

Hi,
yes, orange light lights instead of green one. I have static IP, so my IP and DNS are always entered. When i reboot router, it works again..
My ISP is T-2 (Slovenia). If i change my ISP DNS to Google DNS, will my connection work as it should?
thank you!

Thanks for asking first.
I came here looking for the exact same problem. The only different thing i noticed is that the problem seems to happen when i try and use two or more wireless devices at the same time ie me and my wife's phone.
I'll try the Google's DNS solution, just changed it and restarted everything thing...
It is funny because long time ago i used to use openDNS and later changed to Google's DNS servers. But when i moved from my last ISP to this one i simply let it go. Thought it didn't make much of a difference.
