How to separate Modem models from models that are only Routers
Hello! I own a couple models of TP-link devices, and I'm looking to purchase a new Modem/Router combo before we upgrade our subscription with our ISP to a VDSL plan.
Currently our modem only works with ADSL, but I'm looking for a good deal on Amazon and trying to figure out how to determine if any particular product I'm evaluating is a Modem/Router combo, or simply a Router-only model.

Hey
Generally TP Link use the following naming conventions
VRxxxx - for the VDSL Modem / Router in one device (VR600 for example)
Cxxxx or AXxxxx - For the AC / AX (WiFi5 WiFi6) range of non modem routers.
If you want an all in one for VDSL buy a VR range device
If you get a modem from your ISP and want to add a router / wifi choose the C or AX range depending on your WiFi requirements.
Physically the VDSL routers will have a GREY RJ11 (telephone) port at the back..
Cable / Non Modem routers will have a BLUE RJ45 (LAN Cable) port
Hope this helps!

Hey
This looks to be just based on your location, CA? is that Canada?
Im in the UK and a lot more models mentioned... try finding the model you want/fancy and look at Amazon.ca or your local reseller for that model.
Try this UK link for the range as the model numbers dont change, just the plugs If you find a model you like it may be available in CA somewhere... apologies I cant be more help!
