Hello,

 

I am having difficulties with this new kit I purchased.

Using the dedicated TP software my kit is showing a connection speed- Recieve145mbps yet when I carry out a speed test I get 3mbps and my internet is struggling. 

would there be any reason why there is such a big differance from dedidcated software measurements to acual, as this is a major differance.

 

My internet speed is 70mbps, direct at the router I get approx. 50mbps

 

I have tested this with several laptops/PC's with the same result.

With TP dedicated software:

I updated the firmware to the newest version

I turned power save off (to see if that would help)

I turned the noise filter on

 

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to enable the lower VDSL mode on the TL-PA8010 P kit:

May I know the model number of your home router?

---if possible, please connect the master unit to another Ethernet port on the main router to have a look?

And could you please provide me some pictures:

  1. The powerline rate on the utility;
  2. The speedtest result on the computer when it is connected to the 8010;
  3. The speedtest result when the computer is connected directly to the main router;
