Model: TL-MR6400
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 0.9.1 v0001.0

Hi,

Recently i just bought this router. But i do have problem with connection because my ISP at my home strong signal is only band 5. This router always randomised the band and channel make it unstable. I read in tp link community, they said have some beta test firmware that we can choose what band to use. I did try download and upgrade it but it said the version i upgrade is not same with my device version. This is my router detail

Firmware version

1.3.0.0.9.1 v0001. 0 Build 200402 Rel.63263n

Hardware version

TL-MR6400 v3 00000002

Mine is APAC v3 version.. I got an error 4506 everytime i tried to upgrade to the beta firmware.. Please i need it ASAP as now i cant even use my router

You can't upload FW for a different region on your device. For example if the device is US region,  you can't upload FW for EU region and vise versa.

If this was helpful click once on the arrow pointing upward. If this solves your issue, click once the star to mark it as a "Recommended Solution".

All i can see is Made in China.. There must be something like the firmware or hardware version to differentiate between region, but when i cant find it.. Im from malaysia and buy here, so i assumed its from here too, as i can see the sticker put on the router by authority. I downloaded firmware also in tplink/my website, should be no problem.. And the link i given, they didnt stated that firmware is for which region, i only can see EU

@Kevin_Z

Is it because my hardware version is 00000002?

@Adie87

I see. You are correct, that is because the hardware version number 00000002, thus you cannot upgrade to the previous beta for 00000001. We will provide a new beta soon, please kindly wait.
