Hi guys. I'm planning to buy a capable OneMesh router and repeater ... But before that, I have a question:

Is it possible to let Smart Connect Disabled + One Mesh Enabled in the router and still get all the benefits of One Mesh and all its features in the repeater???

I've reading a lot of comments saying that smart connect is not so smart... So I was wondering if this option is possible...

Thanks!

@ddlnegocios Hi,

With Smart Connect disabled on router, you could still set up OneMesh between router and extender, but this will reduce part of the benefit of OneMesh.

OneMesh allows Wi-Fi clients roam from Router and Extender seamlessly.

With Smart Connect enabled, your host router’s 2.4GHz and 5GHz share the same SSID (network name) and password. And Wifi clients could roam from 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz band faster.
