Model: RE305
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.4 Build 20201202 Rel. 42413

Hi all,

I have a RE305 since a couple of months, but I have major issues with it.

I can easily get WiFi connection with the 305, but after a while it loose internet connection. When I reboot the RE305 it works for a while, but a couple of hours later I can connect via wifi, but have no internet. I thought lets buy an Tp-link RE to match my TP Archer A7 router, that will ensure things will work properly. But unfortunaltly after spening hours, its still not working okay.

- Latest firmware

- Range extender mode

- The issue appears both with and without mesh network

- Rebooted several times

- experimented with varous setting, but no luck

Any clue to make things stable?

Thanks,

Chris

@Chriz  Hi,

How about the Leds on Range extender when connections drops?

If Wi-Fi LEDs are still On RE305 when the issue happens, please try the Beta firmware I sent you via private message, thank you.

If Wi-Fi LEDs goes off on range extender when issue occur, please set up a different SSID for range extender, and put RE very close to router and test its stability.

@Solla-topee

The LEDs are ON in this case. It look likes everything is ok, but it's not working nevertheless.

I have changed quite some settings now, and things seem stable for now:

- DHCP off for the RE

- 5GHz Off

- Different SSID for the RE

Not ideal, but the most steady I had, so for now I won't try the Beta. But I will try it as soon as I run in troubles again.

Thanks and regards,

Chris
