I recently noticed that after upgrading the Deco M9 units, it reverted back to the default 192.168.1.x IP network. My home network as a different setup (192.168.88.x) and therefore crippled my home systems for a while until I noticed the Deco's started off on a wrong IP network.

I have seen this happening once before with an upgrade, and obviously is not good.

Could you please look into this issue?

Hi, It might be caused by the IP conflict and Deco will use the following information to detect whether there is a conflict

LAN IP+subnet mask==WAN IP+subnet mask

LAN IP+subnet mask==WAN DNS+ subnet mask

And if there is a conflict, Deco will change the LAN IP automatically especially after a reboot;

Thank you for the info. My Deco is behind another router (not ideal I know, but it works, no speed or connectivity loss). Which gives out an IP range of 192.168.100.x My own configured LAN ip is 192.168.88.x so I wouldn't see any conflicts arising there? Trying to think back when all the issues happend, it could also be related to the ISP modem being out of services (the last few years we had a lot of long lasting ISP outages). Still then it should not raise a conflict.. Could it be related to me having my Deco M9 system behind another router? this is the basic setup:

192.168.88.x --(TP Deco) <--- 192.168.100.100 (DMZ) ---> 192.168.100.1 --> (ISP Modem) --> Internet

Reason for this setup is that, although I could put my ISP modem in Bridge mode, it can only be done by a support request to my ISP. Whenever they update / upgrade and my ISP modem reverts back to Router mode, I need to call for support again. Hence I left the ISP modem in Router mode to overcome this annoyance.
