Problem:

Nintendo Switch shows that is connected with Deco's Wi-Fi, however, when I try to test the wifi connection from System Settings it doesn't work:

I receive Unable to connect. There is no response from the server. Please try again later.

 

Scenarios:

When I connect my mobile phone to the same Deco's Wi-Fi network, turn off internet transmission on my phone, and enable the wifi router on it, then connect the Nintendo Switch to my phone which is connected with the Deco's Wi-Fi then the test works, and Nintendo is able to connect with the servers.

 

Nintendo Switch -> Mobile Phone's router -> Deco's Wifi <- this works

Nintendo Switch -> Deco's Wifi <- this doesn't work, the connection test doesn't work, however, the Nintendo's wifi connection is established with Deco's Wifi.

 

During my tests I am always connecting with the Main Deco sattelite.

At the same time, could you please help me check some details:

  1. Was Nintendo switch the only device that failed to connect to the Deco?
  2. Please check whether there is any MAC filtering rules or parental control profiles set up for the switch;
  3. Make sure the Nintendo switch get an IP address automatically, not via a static IP address;

The point 2 solved the problem, the device had child profile attached in deco system settings. When I changed the profile from child <=7years to child 8-12years it started works. Thanks!
