Hello 

 

I bought the new RE205 model on 5/23/2021. I initially installed it successfully and later when i upgraded the firmware updates, the Router extender stopped working . It means WPS is not working , SSID is not listed in my laptop or mobile. I could not able to do anything with this newly bought RE205. I cannot even make the factory reset since the SSID is not listed.  How do we solve this?

@partha3580 Hello, 

 

  • It is recommended to factory reset tp-link range extender and see the default SSID show up on your phone or laptop or not

Reset :with RE powered on, use a pin to  press the reset hole for 10 secs until most Leds flash once

 

 

May I know did you update firmware via Tether app or by Web page? By Wireless or by wired connection?

Was there any power outage/ Wi-Fi disconnection/ Error message during firmware update?

How about the Led status on RE205?

Am also facing the same issue. I have done reset the factory setting and also installed the latest firmware.  I am not able to connect to my wifi router which is Archer C6.

I also have same problem, as I updated the firmware from the mobile application and I got theat its compleated, but after that the device can not connect to any other devices even I cant find it in my wifi list, also I tried to rest it from the button but no luck, as it shows that signal keep blinking red then reset all the lights to blue,

please help me,
