AX90 (AX6600) Internet disconnects randomly
Hello there,
I have a TP link AX90 (AX6600) where the internet will disconnect randomly (The indicator light on the router will light up RED instead of blue). When I check the cable modem provided by the ISP, everything appears to be working. To get the router to connect to the cable modem, I either unplug and replug the ethernet cable or I reboot the modem.
This issue seems to appear more frequent with the lastest firmware update.
Can you kindly let me know what causes this issue? Thanks so much.

Is the AX90 the main router in the network? May I know the detailed network layout? How is the AX90 connected to the network?
Who is your ISP? What is the model number of the modem? Do you have a stable connection if you connect a PC directly to the ISP modem? Please test this for a longer time.
If possible, try with a different cat 5e or cat 6 cable between the modem and the router.
When the internet drops on the AX90, please login to ite web interface page to check if there is still a WAN IP address, if there is, try to click on release/renew, check again if the internet will be back, compare those two IP address. You can also try to change the Internet DNS servers to something like 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, then reboot the modem and AX90 to confirm.
When did you purchase the router? Try to reset it to factory defaults as follows, reconfigure it from scratch, then check again if the connection is stable:

Hello Kevin,
The AX90 is the main router on the network, and I connected a switch with additional wifi access points for specific devices.
I have a TP Link Archer C4000 router installed in its place before and I have not encountered this issue during its service life so I was under the impression that this issue is related to the AX90 instead of the service provider.
I will perform the steps you have advised the next time it occurs and will provide the answer at that time. Thanks for your tech tips and assistance.

Just a quick update.
I released and renew the IP address of my WAP IP address and it stayed the same.
Hopefully I have provided sufficient information for you to troubleshoot.
Thanks again.

One thing that's worked for me many times in the past is change your MAC address. First try cloning the MAC address of your modem. Next, if you had a router in the past that did work, manually enter the MAC address of that old router into the new one.

In addition to changing the DNS setting to suggested Google settings, you can also try using 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
