There are some community users from India reporting that they encounter an issue of the wireless connectivity with the Archer C20 (INWISP) router, we here provide the latest firmware that optimized the wireless connectivity, and adding support for the Tether app.

@Kevin_Z Update: It does work!

 

For some reason update had failed earlier, I tried again and I could see the updated firmware version,

 

3.16.0 0.9.1 v6038.0 Build 210407 Rel.7901n

 

Also Tether App now recognised the router.

 

Cant believe it took so many months to fix this!

 

Anyway, thanks Kevin.

 

I would still like to know why it is not officially listed here https://www.tp-link.com/in/support/download/archer-c20/v5/#Firmware, we are not using some hacked firmware right? This is an official release?

Just download the update from link shared by Kevin, unzip and follow the firmware upgrade process.

 

Nothing special to be done.

Hey,

 

I wanted to ask - could you please include future firmware updates for the TP-Link Archer C20 (INWISP) variant under the TP-Link India Archer C20 download page itself? It will be a lot easier for users who seek to upgrade the firmware on their INWISP variant Archer C20 routers to navigate and find the firmware file.
