Would this home setup work with the Deco X68?
I bought a new house and the first thing I want to do is run cat 6 and add the ethernet wall jacks to each room
I was thiking something like this? I might do an 8 port and also run to kitchen, living room, and garage.

That should work OK for you but few things you need to do
1. Change the Deco from Router to AP mode so it uses the Wired Backhaul and not the wireless
2. Connect the first switch to your router, then the First Deco into the first switch.
3. Disable any WiFi on the router as it wont roam with Deco

Isn't the first deco my router? I thought these act as both so I wasn't planning on even using a router. Going from modem straight to first deco and then switch

Deco is indeed a router, but sometimes ISPs will also provide routers and this is what I was referring too.
If your ISP has a router, rather than adding the Deco as another router.. you can switch it to Access Point Mode and that's sometimes a good idea.. however in your latest post you mentioned a modem so therefore Deco in router mode is what you are after

Yes, if your ISP only provided a modem, then your previous setup is perfect.
While if your ISP provided a modem-router combo, Philbert’s suggestion about access point is worth a try.
