AX73 "Ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration
Hi,
Just got the AX73 and have been getting very good speed on the WiFi. Not much luck with LAN on my Hp Z620 though. It show unidentified network and when troubleshoot, the ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration message comes up. Have read some of the queries here and tried those steps. Tried many recommendations from YouTube. Nothing work. When I switched back to my old Asus router, it worked fine. Any idea what I need to do for it to work on LAN?
Thank you.

Hi,
Is there any chance that at some point during your time with the Asus router the Hp Z620's network adapter was configured to have a static IP address?
By default Asus routers usually have the LAN in the subnet 192.168.1.x, while on the AX73 the default is 192.168.0.x.

Thanks for the response. Not that I know of as I've only use the auto setting. Don't think I've use the static setting before. I'm more like a plug and play user. 😅

Ok, just make sure it is presently set to auto. ("Obtain an IP address automatically")
Do you have another Ethernet cable at hand that you could try with?
Does the problem appear identically on all four LAN ports of the AX73?

Yes, it's on auto. I've tried 4 cables, all 4 ports of the AX73 and both ports on the Z620. No luck so far.

That doesn't sound good.
Can you pull up the "Ethernet Status" window on your desktop computer and if yes, what information does it show? Does it show a value for "Speed"? And if you click on "Details", does it show any sort of IP address information?

@woozle Did some test yesterday. Port 2 & 3 is now working. 1 & 4 still the same. What I did was to unplug the network cable from the PC, plug it into the router first before plug back to the PC. If the cable is plugged into the PC first it'll not work. Still not sure why 1 & 4 is not working.

Firstly, please check and update the Ethernet driver version to the latest on the HP Z620.
