Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.4.3 Build 20200918 Rel. 74289

Deco M4R (US)

Region: India

Hardware version: V2

I had purchased Deco M4 - 2 Set. I had to replace 1 unit because ethernet was not working. I got the replacement unit and it seems that it is stuck on firmware version 1.4.3 Build 20200918 Rel. 74289 which is causing issues (internet down for 10 seconds, slow speed) with my other deco which has firmware version 1.5.0 Build 20210511 Rel. 34580. I am unable to find the 1.5.0 Build 20210511 Rel. 34580 version on the tp-link website. The unit was purchased and replaced in India. I checked the latest version on Deco app and web ui as well and it states that 1.5.0 Build 20210511 Rel. 34580 is the latest version.

Apparently, I am unable to attach the screenshot. The link to the screenshot is https://1drv.ms/u/s!ArAVjZ6YdarZgeku_PptzuRyTHMtkg?e=fsRcGB  The one with 1.4.3 is the main deco. I tried switching the units, still the 1.4.3 is unable to upgrade.

Can anybody please send me the file containing 1.5.0 Build 20210511 Rel. 34580 version?

Thanks

Yuvraj

@Yuvraj_Gupta

Hi,

The firmware 1.5.0 Build 20210511 Rel. 34580 has been canceled from the official website for further optimization.

And I see that you have updated two of the Deco to be 1.5.0 Build 20210804 Rel. 77124, and are they working fine now

Thank you very much.

@TP-Link Yes, they are working better now. However, there is still a slow speed issue. I have 100 mbps connection and i get 120 mbps on speedtest. On wifi, it works flawlessly but there is a drop of 10 to 20 mbps. On Lan (connected to main deco) I get 1 mbps download and 30 mbps upload.

@Yuvraj_Gupta

Hi, could you please provide more details about the speed issue?

Like” I have 100 mbps connection and I get 120 mbps on speedtest”,Speedtest directly from the ISP modem?

“On Lan (connected to main deco) I get 1 mbps download and 30 mbps upload”, how about the link speed on the Lan computer?

“On Wi-Fi, it works flawlessly but there is a drop of 10 to 20 mbps”, both on 5ghz and 2.4ghz band? And what is the exact speed you could get? And the related link speed

@TP-Link

1. Directly from ISP router

2. On Lan 1000 mbps

3. I only checked on 5 ghz because on 2.4 ghz some devices only support speeds upto 72 mbps on 2.4. On a laptop the link speed (5 ghz) is 866 mbps and on the phone link speed (5 ghz) is 433 mbps. On 2.4 ghz, on a laptop i get upto 75 mbps speed with link speed of 300 mbps. I can't comment on the phone because it supports link speed upto 72 mbps on 2.4 ghz
