That's what I want. Even if you disable PIN the Push Button method is still active.

There's a separate option in System Parameters screen where you actually disable WPS.

and it looks like that System Parameter screen itself is unavailable in AP mode.

Disabling WPS is a better option from security standpoint. So irrespective if it's AP or Router mode that feature should be available to be controlled. If it's not, then I consider it as a design flaw, hence I am trying to check that out. Thanks.

I might be forced to use C6 as AP and I want to strictly keep WPS disabled.

I will explore the method suggested above i.e. disable WPS first in router mode and then switch to AP and confirm if it works or not,

I need to make subsequent buying decisions based on TP Link response.
