Hi,

 

Ive connected my Extender to 2 Laptops and 1 smart TV, however it's impossible to connect to my iPhone XR. I am entering the correct password but I keep getting an error message saying that the password is incorrect.

 

I have reset the Extender, moved location and even tried without the App. Frustrating and impossible to connect the iPhone.

 

Can anyone kindly advise please?

@Howi78  Hello, 

 

Range extender should use the same password & wireless security as Main router after it has been set it up successfully.

> May I know the model of your range extender, its hardware/ firmware version? 

Please confirm your range extender is on the latest firmware first.

> Try to forget the wifi on the iphone and reconnect to extender's wifi

Go to Settings-> WiFi on your phone, Tap (or Long press  the router's WiFi name  ->Forget / Delete the network 

> Download tp-link Tether app, double check Range extender's password on tether app and use that password to connect WiFi :

Hi there,

 

My model requires V4 which I use. I've done all the points you've given above but with no success.

 

I will have to return the Range Extender unless there is anything else you can advise.

You could reset the iPhone Network settings, here is a guide found online : https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204051

Try to forget router's Wi-Fi on the iPhone XR, and reconnect to router's Wi-Fi using the same wifi password, will iPhone take the password?

 

To better assist with your case, please let us know the  model number of range extender and it's the firmware version ( Build number)?

May I know the model of your router and network topology, what is the IOS version of your iPhone, thank you for help confirm the details in advance, that would be very useful.
