Hi,

I just purchased this modem, and have put it in bridge mode to work with my router [Asus RT-N16 running Tomato 1.28]. I noticed when in bridge mode the Internet LED stays off. Is this normal operation?

Hi,

Yes, I already saw that on another modem-router.
That probably comes from the connection data (PPPoE, name, password, etc.) given by the router.
In bridge mode, the modem has only to synchronize the line.

Hello,

Yes, I had the same issue with another modem-router in bridge mode.

As the connection is done by the router (PPP protocol, username, password, etc.), the modem job is only to synchronize the line...

I agree with you, HiSpeed. It is normal that Internet light is off when the modem is configured to Bridge mode and the router is set to PPPoE.
