MR6400 4g Sim Router will not connect to Internet after Powercyle / Power Cut
MR6400 4G LTE Sim Card router will not establish Internet connection following a Power Cycle or Powercut.
Before a power-cyle, Router can establish Internet connection and no issues with signal (3 Bar) strong 4G coverage with strong speeds for area.
- Sim Card been user Vodafone unlimited data.
- Sim Card tested using mobile and no issues with 4G.
When router fails to connect with sim-card in place, router can be powered down, swap Sim card with another Vodafone sim card and restart router, issue resolves.
Power Cycle/Cut Power to router, plug in again and issue re-appears, no connection to Internet.
Factory reset with sim card in-place or removed does not resolve issue.
Only way that seems to resolve issue is to power down, swap sim cards and restart router.
No experience using TP-Link MR-6400 router in past but cant understand why a power cycle would break link and never re-establish connection.
Router left powered up overnight >12Hours and no connection was established or if it was was not retained.
No issues with signal strength once connection is present.
Surely this is not common behavior for a router. Other brands of router pick internet connection withing 5 mins of a power cut or power cycle.
Have know router to be on timed restarts to enhance performance. This doesn't look like its possible with this brand/model.

Hi, thank you very much for your time and patience.
I would like to forward your case to the senior engineers and could you please help me check the following information:
1. Please send me some screenshots of the advanced>status page when internet service is not available after power-cycle /power cut.
2. As for the system log, could you please refer to the following instruction to save the system log again:
--power cycle the router.(the internet service would be cut off).
--take out the original SIM card and swap with a new one.(Please still keep the router powered on).
--please check whether the internet service recovered.
---save the system log.(please make sure the router was powered on all the time.)
