Firmware Version: 1.1.1

I have noticed that there are from time to time an issue omong 2 iPhone users that they have very reduced wifi speed, almost down to zero. And there are a security recommendation in the wifi settings. The furter recommendation is to change security level to WPA3-SAE.

Problem is that it is the highest level possible in settings in the Omada Cloud SDN wireless settings.

Do anyone have a fix for this?

Controller V5.0.15

Running single 5G WIFI, with simple password 1-8, WPA mode same as yours. 

iOS15.1. iOS15.0.2

iPad mini 6, iPhone X, iPhone 13 mini, no such security warnings. Or reduced speed issues on any of them.

 

Do you have integrated WiFi? Does any other AP/WiFi router share the same SSID and WiFi password? If they integrate w/ your Omada, and have weak security issues, iPhones are connected to them, you run into this issue. 

 

 

Apple accepts WPA2-PSK, AES as secure WiFi pw encryption. Even you don't have WPA3, you can use WPA2-PSK, change to AES as encryption to secure the WiFi

i had to delete the SSID and recreate it in Controller and never have any issue after make sure your controller is upd

It went  alitte longer, but Privacy Warning still appeared today. And wifi slowing down..

Thanks for suggestions. 

Tied this couple of days ago, configurated  WPA2 PSK AES in Omada controller, and still this Privacy Warning on two of my Apple devices.

iOS 15.1.1

Can network pw be too short?
