I have an existing installation of four TP-PA9020P. In one room I also want a wireless capability as the 9020 is only ethernet. Is it OK to purchase a TL-WPA8631P to add this capability? Will that work? The router is the BT SmartHub 2.

sorry for the late reply, though different powerline kit are compatible to each other, we recommend to use Powerline of the same speed for best performance.

If AV2000 Wi-Fi powerline kit is not available, you could consider AV1000 like TL-WPA7510 to work with old AV2000. 

How can I select the powerline device?
