I tried to factory reset several times but my powerline extender only shows ethernet light and rest of the lights are turned off.
What should I do please help.

That's sound a hardware defect on the unit, you could try a different socket and try to reset again
Reset via the RESET button/ RESET hole
With device powered on, prress and hold the Reset button (or use a pin to press reset hole) until all LEDs will turn off and start on again.
The power and WiFi Led should be ON, if still the same, you could consider getting a new powerline unit or contact local support/ retailer to check warranty.
