Hi,

I have selected the voLTE settings. When I connect the normal landline phone to the device, I could hear the dial tone on the phone. But when I dial a number then it is silent. On the phone that I am calling (eg my mobile phone) there is no incoming call. If I try to call the sim card number installed on the router, the phone connected to the router doesnt ring.

Am I using the wrong type of landline phone? Or are there any settings that I am missing out on?

Appreciate feedback.

Thanks.

RK

@meshmar

Hi, May I know who is your SIM card provider? Did it support VOIP or VOLTE service?

And on the web UI>Advanced>network>internet, what is the current network mode?

  • If it is on 4G preferred, could you please check whether the phone service works on 3G only mode?

At the same time, could you please send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with the following information:

1. A picture of the advanced>status page.

2. the system log via web UI.

Thank you very much.

(please leave me a message once you sent the email.)

Hi, may I know whether your MR6500v is working on 3G/4G Router mode? Are you using VoLTE mode or VoIP mode for telephony service? and who is the ISP?

Please share with us a screenshot of Advanced->Telephony->Telephony mode page, also provide more details about the problem along with system log file.

I'm considering purchasing one of these routers, but a little concerned that people are struggling to get the phone working.

I expected the router to be plug and play.

Has anyone managed to get their phone connected and working i.e. making and receiving calls?

  @Milleniumaire

Hello,

Finally everything works fine yes

My old Siemens Gigaset phone was out of service because of a storm that had fried it.

Since August 2022, I have been using a Siemens gigaset C620A as my main phone with the MR6500V router in 4G and everything is working perfectly.
