RE550 slows down to 1-2 mbps
My setup
laptop -- 5ghz -->RE550 -- 5ghz --> RE650 -- 5ghz --> Router
After just a few hours of working the extender (RE550) slow down to 1-2 Mbps, if I connect dirrectly to the RE650 itm getting 40-50mbps (using https://www.speedtest.net)
if I just reboot the RE550, I get back to 40-50.
I have latest firmware for all.
i think the RE550 is very buggy ... or what is wrong?

Hello @silles
If you have to connect RE2 to RE1, you could try to use give RE1 (RE650) a Wi-Fi SSID which is different from Wi-Fi router. or RE2 may connect to main WiFi router.
When RE2speed drops, at the location of RE2, connect to RE1Wifi and confirm the RE1 speed is fine.
It is not very recommended wirelessly connecting one extender to another, as the performance for the second extender will usually be unsatisfactory.
If you have 2 range extenders, please try to connect both range extenders to the router directly.
Topology : RE1 )))(( Router )))(( RE2
Or you could consider using one of REs as AP mode (wired to router or front end):
Topology: router )) (( RE1 <Ethernet> RE2 (AP mode) this requires RE supports AP mode.

thanks for the reply, sorry maybe wasn't clear. but I already have 2 SSIDS and that's how I tested the download speed with 550 and 650.
I know it's not recommended to chain them, but unfortunately I cannot move the router closer to the 650 nor can I connect them both to the router. It's a long long house and the router is at the wrong end :(
But even if the connection speed is halved twice: 1800/2/2 is still 450.
My connection is max 50mbps. Which I can achieve after rebooting the RE550.
For now I tried a factory reset. Maybe later I'll try high speed mode using both bands .

RE550 is way buggy
for now I enabled Reboot Schedule, but it's not often enough.
I need to reboot every 8 hours it seems like.
