Hi,

I just bought the Archer AX55, I have not had issues with other devices, only with my TV Samsung UN43T5300AGCZB.

I cannot establish the connection with the TV to the wifi router, I enter correctly the password and it tries to connect but just do not get an IP address from the router. I also tried using an Static IP and it does not work.

The TV can only connect to 2.4 GHz networks so I disable Smart Connect in the wifi router, but this did not make it work.

Other things I tested:

- Assigning different channels to the router

- Enabling and disabling OFDMA

- Changing the mode to 802.11b/g/n/ax mixed to 802.11b/g/n mixed

- Changing the Operation mode to Access Point

None of the above helped on establishing the connection to the router.

I could connect the TV to the router using WPS, but once I turn off the TV it just lose the connection and the only way to connect back is going through the whole process of WPS.

Any ideas on what I could be missing?

Hello, what are the current 2.4GHz wireless settings on the AX55? You can post a screenshot here (mask the SSID and password for any security concerns).

If the wireless mode is 802.11 a/n/ac/ax mixed, please try a/n/ac mixed, then reboot both the router and the TV to see if it can connect.

If this doesn't work, please try connecting the TV to the 2.4GHz guest network, will it connect?

@Marax You may try changing network security settings like this:

WPA2/WPA3-Personal causes issues on some devices.

Hi, I tested this "If the wireless mode is 802.11 a/n/ac/ax mixed, please try a/n/ac mixed" and it did not work, still it does not make sense for me to buy an 802.11ax router to do not use that setting

I did not try the guest network, sounds like a good test but I returned the router.

Hi,

I tried those settings and the TV did not connect to the router anyway.

I already returned the router.

It was a good router though, good value for money.
