**Hardware version not know right now**

I am looking for advise regarding achieving a better 4g connection for use within the business I work for.

Currently we extend the 2 aerials to be outside of the machine, as it was manufactured with original small antenna placed within our electrical cabinet so wasn't achieving any higher than 25% signal strength, 0% in most customers factories.

We now have numerous customers where the machines will be placed in more difficult situations such as freezer rooms. Signal strength is poor on every device within these places so I need a way to extend the aerials to be outdoors, or atleast through insulation until signal can be achieved.

What is the maximum advised length of cable for the aerial?

Do people know of any devices which could help in this situation?

Any advise would be great.

@JaeE

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Normally it’s not recommended to replace the antenna, because the antenna is only used as an auxiliary. But if you need to replace them for some special requirement, here are some suggestions for you:

1). If you want to change, you must change two external antennas at the same time, and the two replacement antennas should have the same specifications, because the two antennas work together. If you only change one of them, it will not achieve the desired effect, but the effect may be worse.

2). For the replaced antenna, the interface type needs to be matched. The interface type of the two external antennas is SMA plug, that is SMA male, not ordinary RP-SMA, as shown in the following figure:

3). The frequency range supported by the replacement antennas should be the same as the original antennas.

4). The distance between the two replacement antennas shall not be less than the distance between the original antennas.
