I recently changed the password of my main wifi connection due to urgent matter.

I have range extender TP link WA855RE in set before.

but the connection cannot be updated; password cannot be changed and keep coming back to old password.

Have pressed Reset button and redo the process but still not working.

anyone can help

Hello   @btw 

Can I know the Led status on RE after set up. 

You could try to factory reset RE and reinstall it from scratch, and please confirm you have put in correct Wi-Fi password during set up process. 

Factory reset tp-link range extender and set it up again through Web page / Tether APP 
RESET:  with RE powered on, use a pin to push the reset hole until all the Leds flash once.

May I know the model of router, can I know did you have any special characters in the new password, thank you
