Internet disconections
Hi team,
I see there is a couple threads about disconnections, but not sure if any relate to this modem?
For the past month or so the Modem disconnects from the internet - often needs to be rebooted for it to come back - the one I had just now came right on its own. Logs are attached - is there anyway to stop the router clearing the logs - seems that every time it has an issue it clears the logs, so I can't go back and see what happened.

Hello @bertyboynz, as per the system logs you attached, it seems the router gets restarted, can you please confirm if you have ever restarted the router, manually or via a reboot schedule?
Who is your ISP? Please check and confirm the internet from the ISP modem is stable, then go through the troubleshooting suggestions in the following article to see if any helps:

Thank you for your reply.
I do not have a reboot schedule for the router - it seems to reboot itself. Im also confused as to why the logs get reset - like why is there no history of what happened prior to the internet dropping? The date mentioned in the logs I didn't even own the modem yet - I am very confused about that.
IDK what I am OK to share in a public forum, but here is what I see from 2021 (I only purchased the modem in 2022)
Then a statement that its cleared the stats cos the time has changed, and then all the rest of the stuff.... This seems to be the cycle - almost as though the date/time on the modem randomly changes, it crashes/disconnects then comes back online, generally requires a manual power down and back on to get it back.
Quite disapointing having paid so much for a decent router to be having these frequent issues :(

I have done the following so far:
1) confirmed with Spark there are no issues with our internet connection
2) Router Firmware is up to date (1.2.3 Build 20210719 rel.14861(4155))
3) While there is no internet I am unable to connect to the Router via the browser of a wired computer - either via the router IP address or via the http://tplinkwifi.net/ URL
4) I have updated the DNS Server as suggested.
So I guess things left to do are the mac address clone and a differnet cable.... However I really feel like its the device itself crashing/freezing cos otherwise I should still be able to reach it via the IP address when it has issues

How often does the issue happen?
Apologies as I am running out of solutions. I would like to escalate your case to our engineers, the engineering team will investigate to see if it is a concern in the router that can be resolved. Please pay attention to your email box for follow-up. Thank you.
