Archer AX73(US/CA/TW) V1 1.2.0 Build 20211222 rel.74632
Issue Description/Phenomenon:
After upgrading the router firmware to 1.2.0 Build 20211222 rel.74632, the devices (e.g. computers and phones) behind AX73 can no longer connect to the PPTP VPN Server. It used to work fine with the previous firmware. The typical topology is shown in the following picture.
When these devices connect directly to the ISP modem bypass AX73 or use mobile data, they can connect to the PPTP VPN Server without an issue.
Available Solutions:
1. Be sure the PPTP Passthrough is enabled on AX73. You could find it in the Advanced > Security > ALG page as follows:
2. If PPTP Passthrough is enabled on the router while the clients still fail to connect to the PPTP VPN Server, please download and install the following beta firmware to confirm if it helps.
Note:
1. Please be sure you have read the Terms and Conditions for TP-Link Beta Firmware before proceeding!
2. This beta version can be applied to the US/CA/TW versions.
