Thanks  @Porkshanks , in my case the portal only prompts for password (not for user), but it does not recognise the credentials working fine for my account in DECO app (which is the one I regenerated). Probably it has cached somewhere the original one.

Hi, thanks for the message.

Did you log into the Deco App using the forum registration email?

Have you ever had another TP-Link email address?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP   I use the same user email address for the forum and the network device.  However, the passwords are different.  Personally, I prefer having 2 separate passwords for the forum vs the LAN network administrator password, since the vendors and corporations are a more "target rich" environment for those with ill intentions.  I suppose it would not be a bad idea to use a different email address for the forum vs the LAN administrator.

Hi, actually, when you registered the forum, this email will be registered with TP-Link Cloud as well. So only one password can be set. Later, you can use these credentials for the Deco App/Tether App management.

It would be better to use different email addresses or enable 2FA when you use the same email address on the Deco APP/Tether APP:

How to turn on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in Deco app

Best regards.

  @David-TP Thanks for your reply.

I setup both DECO app and tp-link.com with the same email account.

The same was used to configure my wifi mesh.

As I've read on the forum to fix the issue and get rid of "Let's begin on the Deco APP" on an already configured Mesh, I reinstalled DECO app on my IOS and regenerated the credentials to ensure those were correct. In my case, and I know probably it is not a good idea to say for security reasons, but, for now, both my new pass is used in forum account as well as in my reinstalled DECO app.

But, when it comes to access the UI web portal from my main device, it does not recognize my creds, and It makes sense if it keeps the one used for the initial config (the one I've just changed two days ago). I would like to know if based on my scenario, there is something I can do rather than resetting everything.

Thank you

Thank you for the follow up! I found the issue, the email account used for the initial config was not the same I used on my DECO app... fixed by reinstalling with the right one!!
