Range Extender RE650 can't connect to internet if enable WLAN MAC filter in the router
I have a RE650 range extender and a Huawei HG8245W5 router. RE650 is working properly. I add extender MAC to the router Wi-Fi MAC Address Filtering. But once WLAN MAC Filter is enabled in the router, the extender loses connection to the router and the internet is not available. I use 2 MAC. The one written on the back of the extender, and the virtual Mac.
I appreciate someone who has a solution to my problem!

Hello @Solla-topee
I followed the steps mentioned by one of the TP-Link support engineers who contacted me via email. Now the RE650 is working fine and connected to the router.
Thank you very much for your kind cooperation
The following MAC addresses added to the router Whitelist.

Hello @Shaalan
Please check if this post helps: Extender can't connect to internet if there is MAC filter in the router
MAC that need to be added in router white list
1. RE's 2.4GHz Mac address
2. (for dual-band RE) RE's 5Ghz MAC address
3. Network Device Virtual MAC address
If its mobile device, add both Virtual MAC and real MAC of that device as it may connect to router & RE
Hope this could help~

Hello @Solla-topee
Thank you for replying.
The link you mentioned is suitable in the case when the Wi-Fi devices are connected to the Extender.
I have added RE Mac addresses, the one written on the back of RE, virtual, 2.4GHz and 5GHz into router settings. Once I enable WLAN MAC filter in the router, the RE loses the connection to the router.
It's a tough problem. Is there hidden Mac?

Hello @Shaalan
1. Disable Mac filtering and added MAC address below in router Mac filtering/ Access Control whitelist
RE's MAC:
- RE's 2.4Ghz Mac
- RE's 5Ghz Mac (for dual-band RE)
- RE's LAN Mac on the back labe (*optional, required when work in AP mode or RE wired to router )
Network Client Mac
- Virtual MAC addresses of network devices which starting with 50:C7 on router's client list ( example RE MAC 50:C7 :BF:1B:ED:C6)
Note: for mobile devices like phone , it may connect to router & RE, need add both real mac & virutual MAC
2. Enable Mac Filtering
How about the 2.4Ghz/ 5Ghz Leds status on RE650 when MAC filtering is enabled on the Huawei router, can you see if RE is on router client list at that time.

Hello @Solla-topee
I did the above things as per your instructions. Once WLAN MAC Filter is enabled in the router, the extender loses connection with the router. The status of the 2.4GHz/5GHz LEDs on RE650 become off. At this time, I check Wi-Fi devices on my Huawei router, and I see the RE650's virtual Mac address, but "off line".
6C:5A:B0:F8:5E:E8 -> MAC address printed on the unit
6C:5A:B0:F8:5E:E9 -> 2.4GHz
6C:5A:B0:F8:5E:EA -> 5GHz
6E:5A:B0:F8:5E:E8 -> Virtual Mac adress

Hello @Shaalan
Thank you for providing more case details, you could have a check on router Log or Router client device list and see if there is other MAC address used by RE.
At the same time, I'd like to escalate your case through support email Please check your inbox for TKID220331168, feel free to let us know it goes.
