Hi,

 

I recently purchased a TL-WPA8631P v3.0 Kit in the UK and was looking to update the firmware for the TL-WPA8631P plug. I can see on the support page for the product https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/download/tl-wpa8631p-kit/#Firmware that there is supposedly an UK specific firmware (TL-WPA8631P KIT(UK)_V3_220330) but the download link links to the exact same file as for the EU firmware (TL-WPA8631P KIT(EU)_V3_220330).

 

Is this a mistake or is the EU firmware indeed compatible with the UK model (which would obviously be operating in the UK)?

Thank you for asking, as checking some resources,  TL-WPA8631 the latest firmware on UK website is for TL-WPA8631P V3 (UK/ EU).

This is not applicable for all the firmware, it's good to check if your devices is (EU) /(UK) version and download the corresponding (EU) (UK)firmware on the website, which is recommended when update device firmware.
