Firmware Update impossible Archer MR600
Hello,
it seems like im facing issues with my TP-Link Archer MR600 and can not solve them by myself.
I would like it to update to Firmware "Archer MR600(EU)_V2_210914", because there ist WPA3 mentioned which I would like to activate. Also the 4G / 3G Bug seems to be resolved.
on the Firmware update Tab it always says my Firmware is up to date and when I try to update it via the downloaded file the upload stops around 33 % with Error code 4503:
Is there anything I'm doing wrong or do I have to change some setting first?
Thanks in advance for your help :-)
Best regards, Tim

Hello Sunshine,
same issue with upgrading Archer MR600 bought at Amazon Shop in Germany (sold by xonus(DE)) as not branded device.
It also seems to be locked by ISP DREI ? Why ?
Firmwareversion: 1.4.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210805 Rel.63527n
Hardwareversion: Archer MR600 v2 00000002
Could you please help to upgrade for security reasons.
Many thanks in advance.

Dear all,
I have precisely the same problem.
I bought in absolute good faith the router form an online shop, to use it in the same country of purchase .... and now I find myself with a router whose firmware seems locked by some german Dre provider!!!!!
How can TP-LINK allow this? It is damaging its unaware customer base.
Can I kindly ask if @TP-LINK can provide me with a solution to this issue i.e. whatsoever intermediate firmware to get back to the EU mainstream? I am stuck on the below, and every update attempt just fail!
I checked the sticker underneath and it clearly says it is an EU Model, no mention whatsoever to this lock-down custmisation. I would have never bought it knowing it. This is not ok, sorry.
Hardware Version: Archer MR600 v2 00000002
Firmware Version: 1.4.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210805 Rel.63527n
If TP-LINK does not provide a solution (unbelievable!), can someone else in this forum point me to a solution? I am available to brick the product to get out of this, and if it breaks in the process, I cannot care less, it is anyhow the last time I will buy a TP-LINK. It is a scandal.
Simon

Before attempting to update the firmware, try resetting the router to its factory defaults. You can usually do this by pressing and holding the reset button on the router for a certain amount of time. Refer to the router's manual for specific instructions on how to perform a reset. Ensure that you are using a wired connection (Ethernet cable) between your computer and the router during the firmware update. This can help eliminate potential issues with the wireless connection. Clear your web browser's cache and cookies before attempting the firmware update. Cached data may interfere with the update process.

looks like I've the same problem. Bought the archer as refurbished in a shop but the firmware update is still not possible. Is the solutions as stated here still available ?

Same here! None of the firmware update files work for my MR600 EU V2. The latest file also claims that my hardware version doesn't match :-/
Any suggestions appreciated. I'm trying to fix a "No SIM card detected" error, and I would like to try a firmware update to rule out any software issues.
