Hello,

i'm installing a new Archer VR400 in an already existent network in which i already have a DHCP Server.

So i put off the DHCP server on admin panel but the results is that my clients (wifi or by lan cable on lan ports) cannot obtain an IP address using DHCP.

Doing it manually everything works.

Maybe someone has experienced this problem in the past?

thank you

  @atti_effe

At a guess you would need to have the VR400 in Wireless Router mode, with DHCP disabled

Also ensure that the static IP you have set on the VR400 is not in use by the other DHCP server.

It might also be possible to consider setting this router as a DHCP relay for the other DHCP server, that might work..

There's no need to set VR400 in 'wireless router mode', unless you're planning to use it like a wireless router.

In this mode LAN4 port is used like a WAN port. In 'DSL modem router mode' you'll have all 4 LAN ports available for wired devices.

As Philbert suggested, just change the DHCP server to DHCP relay, set your remote DHCP server IP address and you should be fine:
