Connect wired devices (PC, Network-Printer) with Deco P9
Hi,
I need some advice.
I have a Modem/Router on the second floor.
My Parents live on the first floor and have a wired Computer and a wired network-printer.
As I can not lay a network-cable between the floors I use a powerline adapter.
The problem is that the powerline connection is not very stable. We have to reset it sometimes (because the PC has no internet) and there is no connection when I plug in some power supplys in certain sockets. Also the WLAN coverage on the first floor is quite poor.
Would the Deco P9 be a solution for my problems? A newer powerline technology plus WLAN as backup and a WLAN-boost for the first floor?
Is it possible to connect one Deco P9 to my Router on the second floor as main unit and a second one on the first floor to connect PC and printer with network cables to its two ports?
Will they both have internet access via WLAN in case powerline has interruptions?
How I have to configure them for this application (Router or AP)?
Or does someone know a better solution for my problem?
