Have a plug in TP LINK wifi extender it's a 850 I think with blue circle lights all working just asking if you can use another Tp link extender .
And does it have to be the same or can I get any TP LINK to plug kinect in another room etc

You can relocate the range extender after set it up successfully, it is recommended to put range extender to the halfway between router and Wi-Fi dead zone.
