Hello,

 

After upgrading my M5 to Firmware Version: 1.6.0 Build 20220525 Rel. 48298, I started experiencing WiFi stability issues. The Wifi disconnects when I move, I suppose when switching between the Deco stations. Also when listening to youtube videos I there are interruptions quite often (one per 5 minutes maybe) which I did not have before. 

Restarted Deco and checked the network optimization but that did not help.

 

Anyone else experiencing this kind of issues?

Hi, welcome to the community.

After it disconnected, would it automatically reconnect later? Would it happen most of the time?

 

As for the youtube videos, have you tested other online video streaming apps, and will you have the same issue?

On which devices you have experienced video interruptions quite often?

Please help me test whether disabling fast roaming under Deco APP>More>Advanced on the Deco helps or not.

Thank for the quick response!

 

I've observed the issue for my mobile phone and my wife's phone while listening to youtube videos and being in conferences with Microsoft Teams while moving around the house. The stream / conference would cut of for a second or two and then resume.

 

Fast roaming was actually disabled on my Deco although I think I had it enabled before the upgrade. 

I have now enabled it, tested it briefly and it seems the disconnects / interruptions are gone :)

 

I will do some more testing and let you know if I see any issues but I think this probably fixed the issue. Thank you for your help!

Hi  @David-TP,

 

After further usage with the fast roaming on I can see that the problem is still there.

I managed to capture also some screenshots of the problem, attached them below

 

When I move between the Decos, I get this:

 

and after a couple of seconds it switches to a different Deco and it works again:
