Could you provide a few more details about your network setup?

Is the Archer C6U setup as Access Point (via menu "Operation Mode") and you are trying to access the data of an USB drive that is connected to this Archer C6U via ftp over the Internet?

If that is the case, then you would need to configure port forwarding on the actual "router" that manages your Internet connection. However, it might be a better idea to make the Archer C6U the Internet router, as this would simplify the setup for the ftp via Internet.

Ok, that looks good.

The next thing to check is whether your Archer C6U's Internet connection has been assigned a public IP address or a private IP address.

Log into your router and look up the IP address that is circled in red in the below screenshot.

If that IP address falls within one of the four following ranges of IP addresses, then it is a private IPv4 address, which would explain why you can't access your USB drive via FTP from the Internet.

10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255
100.64.0.0 - 100.127.255.255

Hi,

Ok. So, you have setup port forwarding on the device that connects you to the Internet (i.e. modem, ONT, etc.). Can you post a screenshot of your FTP forwarding rules?

I have turn on the DNZ on the modem, and I have pasted the FTP via internet  ip on it.

So I can access outside the network  but the local share not working .

If you type in Windows File Explorer "\\TPLink" (without quotation marks) and hit Enter, does that open your TP-Share?

If yes, then you can manualy add this link to "Quick access" or map "\\TPLink\G" as a network drive.

  @Bhaskar.11

I can access manualy, by add this link to "Quick access" or map "\\TPLink\G" as a network drive.

Everything works fine non, but I want to map the FTP via internet as the network drive. Now I am accessing the storage via ftp outside the network. So I need to map it as network storage.

Apparenty, with Microsoft Windows alone it is not possible to map an FTP server to a drive letter. Maybe there is some third-party software that can do it.

What you can do in Windows 10 (probably other versions as well) is to add the FTP server as a "network location" in Windows File Explorer.
