Adjust the MTU setting
How do you adjust the MTU Size settings on the TP-Link Deco X60? Reason for the request: Adjusting the MTU setting is required for all of the Home Wireless 5G Networks. Having an incorrect MTU Size causes performance issues. Example: Verizon MTU Size = 1428, T-Mobile MTU Size = 1420, AT&T MTU Size = 1420.

Hi, there is already a plan to support changing MTU on Deco and you could vote to add more support:MTU size settings
And The latest firmware for Deco X50/Deco X55 starts supporting customizing MTU size.
Early Release VPN/Static Route/MTU Firmware for Deco X50/X55
For other models, It might still need some time.

I am using Verizon’s Home 5G Network. I am seeing a performance slow down due to MTU size mismatch. I have the DECO X60 setup in Router Mode, DHCP Server, and WIFI Mesh network. I have disabled DHCP, and WIFI, etc on the Verizon router so that I could take full advantage of the X60 capabilities. Making the change to the X60 is when I noticed the slow down. In my research why I found that the MTU size on the Verizon Home 5G network is set to 1400 + 28 = MTU Size of 1428. When I take a laptop and override the MTU size of 1500 set by the DECO x60 to 1428 the WIFI performance almost doubles in speed.
Doing some quick research I found that this is a problem with all 5G Home Networks. They are all set at 14xx. This mismatch in MTU size as you know causes quite the performance issue.
Please advise if the MTU setting can be changed on the X60? If not, please advise if any other configuration would work?
Example of MTU using a Verizon Home 5G Network:

Hello TP-Link / Deco,
Please reply to my question on modifying the MTU size when using 5G Home Network. If the MTU size on the Deco x60 cannot be modified I will need an alternative method to address the poor performance of the x60's.

@Goody1 Did you ever hear back on this? I have a 5G LTE router from Verizon and the X60. Right now the mesh is in AP mode and I guess I'll just leave it there - not having performance issues so much, but was hoping to maybe flip it to router mode. Thanks.
