X55 and XE75 - 2.4ghz
Just purchased Xe75 to upgrade from X55.
I noticed on the main network if you switch off the 5ghz band to connect smart devices you would find you have no internet connection.
When both networks are switched on the smart devices keep disconnecting and reconnecting and internet access resumes.
I experienced same issue with X55.
You can't run 2.4ghz only on the main network.
Can anyone confirm if they experienced a similar issue
I have read people post using the guest network on 2.4ghz for smart devices.
My X20 had no issues.

@Mutch Hi, Thanks for the feedback.
I have seen similar feedback several days and the problem description is quite like yours. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/586574
I hope you could help me check more details"f you switch off the 5ghz band to connect smart devices you would find you have no internet connection", after turning off 5ghz, is 2.4ghz SSID still visible for mobile devices? And did all your 2.4ghz-supported devices have the same issue?
Since you mentioned the guest network if the guest network is on 2.4ghz only, will the devices be able to connect to the guest network and have internet service?
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

Dear David
Thank you for your reply.
Yes I see others are also experiencing the same issue.
To answer your questions:
1.yes if 5ghz is switched off on main network the 2.4ghz internet connection stops. The ssid is visible you can connect but you have an exclamation mark on Wfi 6 symbol. You can't do speed tests or access websites.
2. All my 2.4ghz smart switches by sonoff keep disconnecting or not even possible to connect a new switch.
3. If I use the guest network the switches connect however my ip cameras which operate on 2.4ghz can't see the dvr which is hardwired to the main network.
So this resolves the switches but creates issues with my cameras not being able to be seen by the Dvr.
4. The setup is in router mode and it's from the Ont Box to Main Router wired and the rest of the nodes are wirelessly connected.
I purchased the Xe75 after a month of purchasing the X55 as I thought it might be hardware issue. But problem exists on Xe75 as well.
When I used the x20 double pack I have had no issues with the same smart devices all being connected to the main network. (both 2.4ghz and 5ghz on) No guest network was used.
Thank you I await your reply

@Mutch thanks for the update.
the guest network is separated from the main network and the Ethernet connection is also part of the main network, so it is normal that NVR is blocked to the cameras.
" The SSID is visible you can connect but you have an exclamation mark on the Wi-Fi 6 symbol. You can't do speed tests or access websites. ", may I know what are these devices that had the described issue, except for Sonoff smart switches and cameras?
How did other 2.4ghz devices behave on the guest network? are they all able to connect to the WiFi and have internet?
Would turning off fast roaming under Deco APP>More>Advanced help?
Wait for your reply.
best regards.

My sons desktop pc connects on 2.4ghz network and the speed test (when possible to run) is 4mb download and 3mb upload. The node is about two meters away from the pc mounted on the wall. The speeds are extremely slow or no internet connection. At times you will be connected to the network but no internet access. My isp speed is 100mb upload and download.
All devices on 2.4ghz network including my cellphone experience the same issue.
I have tried switching off fast roaming no help.
The only option is to use guest network on 2.4ghz but about 5 cameras will not record to dvr and won't be accessible from dvr which is not an option.
When I had my X20 the entire system worked on it including all the devices which I have now. The only difference is that my fibre connection was connected via PPPoe.
My new isp uses dynamic ip.
That's the only difference and the nodes and main router are all placed at the same spots in the house.
Please this is becoming frustrating and time consuming and I am hoping you can resolve this.
Both Xe75 and X55 experienced exactly the same issue so this is so strange.
This is my fourth deco Mesh system.
