Deco X90 losing connection after 09/2022 firmware update
Hi, after the 09/2022 firmware update in my deco network (main deco X90 + 3x X90 + 3x M9+) the satellites (each of them) lose connection (reed light) multiple times a day!! The network is almost unuseable. After reboot of the main deco the system works for a few hours, then the same starts again, mostly the decos farer away from the main deco lose connection. A restart/reboot of the satellites which lost connection doesn't help, the main deco must be rebooted in the way of cutting the power. Note: before the 09/2002 firmware update of the X90-ies this problem didn`t exist. It seems that this firmware update reduced the reach of the decos significantly. Pls update soon!

@MaxHeadroom I'm having the exact same issue you describe. All was fine with our deco mesh before updating firmware in the last few days. Reboot of the whole network (not just the Main deco, doesn't help) brings every back up for a short while before failing again. Optimizing for channel congestion doesn't help. Desperate for a fix.
Deco x5700 was updated to:
1.1.3 Build 20220927 Rel. 51332

Thank you very much for your feedback.
It has been reported to the senior engineers already and they are working on this issue.
It is also highly appreciated if you could send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with the following details:
1. The TP-Link email ID for Deco APP.
2. A picture of your network topology---If you have installed Deco APP 3.0, please share us a picture of the network map.
3. Have you noticed the LED on the satellite Deco turned to flash red during the disconnection?
Best regards.

Having the same issue after updating to 1.1.3 Build 20220927 Rel. 50772.
I have 4 deco x90's: total 4 APs (1 primary, 2 connected to primary via ethernet and the 3rd connected over wifi).

You bring up a good point - I would sometimes find the light on my decos be green despite the app and web interface seeing them as "offline"

There's a related thread on the Community, I think both are chasing the same thing, called: "Deco M5s Drop Off Repeatedly after Deco X90 Firmware Update”

@Gatriel I observed the same (App says no connection, but the deco shows in fact a green light).
In my case a reboot of the main deco and/or reboot of a disconnected deco does NOT re-establish connection. All decos (also and foremost the main deco) have to be cut off the power. Afterwards, the main deco has to be reconnected to the power first, and after the main deco works (geen light), the other decos have to be reconnected to the power in the order of their distance to the main deco i.e. nearest first, furthest last. Only then all decos re-establish their connection with "green light." The decos furthest away from the main deco are more prone to disconnecting, although when connected the app tells a "STRONG" signal, so it´s not the "common" distance problem.

@Greg_B In my case, I donot have a M5. All 4 units I have are X90's. Also connection problem started happening after 09/2022 firmware update. Its now getting worse as my IOT devices keep loosing connection. Also as Release notes states that release contains Network optimization, this firmware actually makes it worse and I observe network congestion within a couple of hours.

@Greg_B I confirm I have the same issue right now. I updated my main and satellite and all my connected devices are gone and back and gone and back, and so on...
