Model: RE450
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.0.3 Build 210201 Rel. 74631n

Hello!

If the Range Extender extends the Router Guest Network in Range Extender mode, the devices that are connected to the extended Extender Guest Network won't be able to see each other and won't be able to access my local network? Exactly like in the Guest Network of the main Router?

For both 2.4 and 5 GHz Extended Guest bands?

Thankful

Hello   @leotavano

Thank you for the inquiry and apologize for the late reply.

To answer your questions:

If the Range Extender extends the Router Guest Network in Range Extender mode, the devices that are connected to the extended Extender Guest Network won't be able to see each other and won't be able to access my local network?Exactly like in the Guest Network of the main Router?

- Yes, as far as I know Guest Wi-Fi uses a different VLAN or IP subnet, devices connected to the Extended Guest Wi-Fi network should be isolated from the main Wi-Fi network, just like your Main Guest Wi-Fi.

For both 2.4 and 5 GHz Extended Guest bands?

- Probably a yes,  if RE connect to Guest 2.4Ghz, then Extended Guest 2.4Ghz is isolated from the main ; if RE connect to Guest 5Ghz , then Extended Guest 5Ghz is isolated from the main

Do let us know if this work for you.

Hey! Thanks for the answer

Seeing the clients connected to the router through the Tether app

The Tether app shows the RE450 connected only to the 5GHz Guest Network, even though it is also repeating the 2.4 GHz Guest Network

(I can connect to the repeater's 2.4GHz Guest Network normally, it's just in the app that it's not showing)

Don't know why, but OK?

(Clients of the router \/)

Details

When tapping on RE450

Example of a device connected to the 5GHz Extended Guest Network through the repeater RE450

Example of a device connected directly to the 5GHz Router's Guest Network

Should it be like that? Is this configuration working correctly?

Thank you hope this can give confidence to reply

Under normal 5GHz network of the router, not the guest one, the Connection Type is 5GHz Wireless and the IP is 192.168.0.106 (taking the first device of the first screenshot as example)
