Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.0.2 build 20220401 rel. 35920

My Deco M4 is very unstable. Wifi goes down every 2 hours or so.

 

I´ve tested my internet without the Deco system and it runs fine.

 

My setup is:
Router (ISP Vodafone) wifi off > wired to > 1st Deco M4 > wired to > Switch TP-Link TL-SG108S V3  > wired to > 2nd Deco M4

 

Also tried this setup:
Router (ISP Vodafone) wifi off > wired to > 1st Deco M4 > wired to > 2nd Deco M4

 

Also tried this setup:

Router (ISP Vodafone) wifi off > wired to > 1st Deco M4 > wifi to > 2nd Deco M4

 

I´ve also:
- replaced cables
- tried different ports of ISP router

Everything failed and the wifi keeps dropping.

 

Is there a fix for this?!

  @Gii Hi, welcome to the community.

Did the Deco M4 work in access point mode?

Have you seen any Deco turn to flash red?

It has the same problem in Acess Point mode, it works but from time to time it loses internet and some time it loses wifi signal.

When internet connection drops light doesn't go red.

Already tried all 4 points on your link and the problem is not solved.

Please refer to this link to change the WAN DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 to see whether it could improve the stability:https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/1855/
 
And Later I might need to forward your case to the senior engineers for further assistance. Please check whether you have got an email from me.
By the way,  could you please help me check the following details:
1.  How many online wireless clients do you usually have? Would there be a lot of smart home devices?
2.  Can I have the model number of the devices that dropped out frequently?
3.  Did you connect any wired clients behind Deco and Did they have the same issue?

All this seems too complicated for me.

I bought this system because it was supposed to be easy to set up and reliable but it isn´t.

I´ve returned it to the store and I´m looking for a new product.
