Solution RE700X connected to a Vodafone WIFI 6 Station Router does not connect to the Internet.
Internet
Hello!
The RE700X with Firmware RE700X(EU)_V1_1.0.6 Build 20220926 firmware connected to a Vodafone WIFI 6 Station Router does not connect to the Internet.
The strange points found have been:
- It connects to the Router by high IP (192.168.0.254)
- It includes the connection ip (192.168.0.254) as the Gateway and it is corrected to that of the Router (192.168.0.1)
- In DHCP, it includes the value 1 as the address lease time.
- In DHCP, in gateway, includes the IP address of the Extender (192.168.0.254) is corrected to that of the Router (192.168.0.1)
- In DHCP, in DNS first, includes the IP address of the Extender (192.168.0.254) is corrected to that of the Router (192.168.0.1)
- It is verified in the Router that Band Steering, etc. is not active.
I have carried out all these checks on several occasions after restarts, factory settings, WIFI configuration, cable configuration, WPS configuration, etc. . and can't connect to the internet.
If I install the old version RE700X(EU)_V1_1.0.3 Build 20220429 again, it configures perfectly and accesses the Internet without problems...
Any ideas/solution? I would like to update the Firmware to the latest version to have greater stability as indicated, in addition to the fact that the new version seems to detect my Router for OneMesh as compatible.
Thank you!

It is working now thanks to suggestions from tp-link senior engineers :) It seems that there is overlapping on dhcp range between router and WiFi extender. I just narrowed dhcp range one my router to 192.168.1.10 - 192.168.1.99 and on extender nothing to change just default factory setup on network settings auto dhcp server and obtain ip automatically.
Thanks for your suggestion and solution. But on new firmware version it should be fix automatically for every user. Because statically there are users with the same conditions regarding dhcp setting.

Hi, since the DHCP range of the Vodafone router is 192.168.0.10-192.168.0.99, how about setting the DHCP range on the RE700x to 192.168.0.15-192.168.0.20

Hi, Thank you very much for the good news.
Could you also share with us some screenshots of your network settings and DHCP server settings on the RE700x When the Orange Funbox 6 is narrowed down to 192.168.1.10-1.99?
Best regards.

Hi
I set the DHCP range on the RE700X to 192.168.0.15-192.168.0.35 (The RE700X does not allow to put less than 20) and this solution is not working for my particular case
I ser the IP Adrees on the router vodafone to 192.168.1.1 and the DHCP range ti 192.168.1.10-1.99 and this solution is not working.
I set the DHCP range on de RE700X to 192.168.1.15-1.35 and this solucion is not working.
But, when a install de firmware 1.0.3 version, it's working good with any configuration... Can you compare the version of the firmware?

Did you try to manually assign Extender's DNS same as your router's ones?
Seems like your primary DNS is configured as the same IP as your router and no secondary DNS, maybe you need to manually assign it on your extender to mach with your router's ones.

Hi
Yes, I manually assigned both the LAN IP, DNS and DHCP but it didn't work. Finally the senior engineer solved the problem with a new adapted firmware. This adaptation will go in the next firmware version.

Hi,
i am also getting the same issue with my RE705x UK V1.0 which i just bought. It works well right of the box but when i updated the firmware (1.0.9 Build 20221108) through the Tether App, suddenly it could not connect to my main router's wifi but the RE705x can connect to my mesh system which is weird. Is there a hot fix firmware update for the RE705x UK (V1.0) version?

Hi, the official firmware hasn't been released though but a beta firmware is ready for RE705X:
