Model: UB500
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have tried all the manual install methods, drivers from the download area etc.

Before each attempt I have uninstalled the driver and ticked the box to delete the existing driver.

The main error I get is "Device is disabled".

If I run setup.exe, it fails and says the software was not installed.

Installing manually, it appears to work but again results in a disabled device.

Trying to enable it does nothing.

In the events it has this:

Device not migrated
Device .. was not migrated due to a partial or ambiguous match.

I get similar errors using another bluetooth adaptor with the realtek chipset.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  @Knurled

Hi, welcome to the community. Have you tried to turn off the windows firewall or antivirus programs on the computer to have a look?

 And Is this another USB adapter also from TP-Link?

By the way, may I know the model number and operating system of your computer? If both adapters have the same issue, I think you also need to check whether there is anything missing on the computer.

best regards.

  @David-TP

Hi David, thanks for your response.

I can't disable the antivirus, however the drivers are installed with no warnings from it so I don't think that would be the issue.

The other adapter is from MPOW but it uses the same realtek chipset and driver.

The OS is Windows 10 Pro version 21H2, 64bit, Intel Core i7.

What do you think could be missing?
