Model: Archer VR600   RE300
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 220518 Rel.43816n

When using hardwired LAN ports, the VR600 looses synchronization on these ports after a few days. Once this happens the ability for a new
device to join the wireless network is denied.

Initially I thought it was a cable length issue since it is 35m from VR600 to Cisco switch. I replaced the long cable with a pair
of Netgear switches such that cable length to first switch is 1m. Unfortunately the problem still persists.

My temporary solution is to use a RE330 to wirelessly backhaul traffic to the VR600 from the location 35m away. That seems to work
faultlessly for data transfer. The management of the RE330 from VR600 is terrible. The VR600 rarely sees the RE330 as a OneMesh
device. Power cycling the RE330 restores this for short periods of time.

(Just updated to RE330 1.0.11 - maybe the management issues are fixed)

Another issue with using RE330 is that it uses a separate DHCP pool for addresses without the capability to do address reservation. This is

a major issue since I need fixed addressing for clients without static IP settings.

Are these know problems? Are there any fixes due?

  @MervynM

Just updated to RE330 1.0.11 - update has made no difference. Management of OneMesh via VR600 is truly awful. I would return the RE330 if I could ever get the LAN interfaces to actually work for more than 5 days.

  @David-TP

Do you know if there are any fixes for the VR600 Ethernet issue? Seems to be quite a common fault.
