Really need this in the X75 (non XE/pro)!

I've got a Ring camera that's connected to an X75 at the opposite end of the house, rather than the X75 that is in the same room!

TP-Link seem to have a huge lag in releasing the same functionality on different devices, with seemingly no weighting for newer or older devices, it just seems random.  I'd hope that it's at least based on those with the same/similar hardware.

Do you mean the XE75, rather than the X75?   If so, there is a firmware update for the XE75, but for versions 1 and 1.6, that has the connection preference added.  

  @CalvinL no, not the XE75.  I have the X75 model, well, three of them.  It doesn't have WiFi6e (just Wifi6)

I advise anyone before buying a TP link Deco product is to look at the products support page , the one that lists the firmware currently available and check if new features are being added ( connection preference- basic feature to be honest)  etc or even the last time the device received an update. 

Even more confusing is the fact that you can have the same product sold under the same name but can have different hardware versions 1.0, 2.0 which potentially has different features. 

TP link are very very slow at firmware updates on still very current products. 

  @David-TP I just received the Deco X50 a few days ago.  After setting it up and it auto updating it's firmware, the connection preference option is not available for me.  Are there some steps I can take to debug this?  Thanks
