Personally, I don't think Deco X50 will support "Test Internet speed" later on in the new firmware.
As for the bandwidth issue in AP mode, a new Deco APP version 3.3.x will be released very soon and it will help with this issue.
@David-TP not visited for a while
Why will it not be supported? This is a way to test your speed from router to see if anything is causing network issues internally
When will the new deco app be released to resolve the bandwidth issue?
Also still get notifications for reports on the 1.2.0 firmware, is this bug still in the 1.2.2 release?
Have you implemented auto-optimisation of wifi if the signal becomes congested, like 99.9% of other routers on the market do instead of just having the option to manually optimise?
Is there any point in updating to the latest release 1.2.2 if the main issue of wan port is not resolved? I have contacted Amazon to get a full refund on the unit as running in AP is not worth the price of the unit
and it's pathetic that you are unable to put the word 'it' after a word ending in 't' without it throwing a wobbler and saying the below
The following sensitive language has been used which goes against the rules of the Community: "* it". Please enter again.

Hi, The 1.6.0/1.1.0 firmware for Deco X50-POE was released last week and you could find more details here:

Nice to see you again.
You might notice Deco M5 still supports "Test internet speed" so it might not be released to the Deco APP upgrade, more about the product software. The Monthly/weekly report notification issue in AP mode has been improved on 1.2.2 and the latest Deco APP (3.3.41 for IOS and 3.3.18 for Android) also optimizes the real-time speed rate issue. Compared with 1.2.0, 1.2.2 hasn't made any adjustment to WAN-LAN auto-sensing feature, and the latest news about this feature request is that the engineers have agreed to add an option to fix the WAN port on the Deco APP.
You might notice that some questions are not answered, like the channel selection or ETA about the WAN-LAN auto-sensing, there is no further updated news about them otherwise I would be happy to share it with community members, and a random guess would cause further confusion here.
For the community rules about sensitive words, I think something you write might accidentally trigger a false alarm, and if you do not mind, you could leave me a message about this content and we could have a further check.
Thank you very much for your attention.
Best regards.

@David-TP thanks for the response, i've temporally gone back to the deco m5 and have spoken to Amazon to return the X50 as can't really justify the price for using as access points and not fully fit for the purpose of being a router. as you also have to pay extra on top to for basic security settings

Hello, yes it is the same problem. I can then not save anything with the rules, it is not adopted. And I can't use the user-defined IP address + MAC address either, since I can only use the DHCP range here.
please help quickly, i can't use the deco like this

Thank you, and I upgraded. But I was specifically needing OpenVPN support on the Deco X50 PoE v1.6. From what I can see, that firmware upgrade does not support it yet, or did I miss it?

Hi, Here are some tips that might help you understand the firmware upgrade of Deco.
You might notice the firmware versions are usually like 1.2.x/1.1.x/1.0.x and 1.7.x/1.6.x.1.5.x/1.4.x etc.
Currently, you could think 1.1.x is on the same level as 1.6.x which supports some similar features, like reboot schedule, connection preference and NO-IP and DynDNS.
1.2.x, which supports VPN server/client and IOT network, MTU is on a higher level than 1.1.x/1.6.x. so the 1.1.0 on Deco X50-POE still does not add VPN feature yet.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.
