Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.12.0 Build 221010 Rel.35508n(4555)

Hello,

I have the problem that my WIFI Network is pretty unstable.

Sometimes my WIFI Connection gets temporary lost and sometimes the response is pretty slow.

My Setup is the following:

I have a Huawei b528s-23a LTE Router, which is connected to the Internet Mast.

Because the Router is pretty old and the WIFI is pretty bad, I deactivated its WIFI Bands (2,4Ghz and 5Ghz) and connected it via Ethernet to the Archer C80.

I activated the following settings on the Archer:

  • Smart Connect
  • Router Mode
  • EasyMesh (with RE200)
  • QoS (1000Mbps)

Because our house is pretty big, I also use a Mesh WLAN Repeater (RE200 V4 - 1.0.8 Build 20210916 Rel. 59255).

Currently, my Laptop is connected to the 2,4Ghz WIFI of the RE200.

I have run a ping cmd to 1)the Archer C80, 2)the RE200, 3)Google.

I see that some packages get lost and some need about 3,8s to come back, which is a pretty long time.

All the devices have the newest Firmware, and I also rebooted them before I pinged them.

Does anyone have a clue why the WIFI isn't that stable or have tips how to improve my WIFI Setup.

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards

@Dominik1

Maybe you can install the early released version first on the Archer C80, then monitor the connectivity again.
