Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

HI,

I bought a set of 3 M4R's to start with and have recently added another 3 devices to the setup.   They all seem to see each other ok but i do get drops between the units every now and again. I thought i would check the firmware versions.

I see two entries listed as:

DecoM4R (Main) which has the original units and then another Deco M4R with the newer 3 units.  Each set has a different Firmware build which doesn't make sense to me as i would assume units of the same type would have the same firmware.

The originals are on 1.5.5 Build 20220823 Rel 41353

the extra units show

1.0.2 Build 20220401 Rel 35920

If i run the Update Deco option i get that the system is up to date hence the confusion.

Is it up to date and if not how do i get it to update the units to the same release?

  @PhilA65

Hi, welcome to the community.

Actually, you are having the latest firmware for each Deco M4.

1.5.5 is the latest firmware for Deco M4-v2 and 1.0.2 is the latest firmware for Deco M4 v4. Due to the hardware difference, V2 and V4 share different software and could not be updated with each other.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
